Tattinger and Party Spuds

This article, from the Wall Street Journal, tells you pretty much everything you want to know about the life of a Western business traveller in Ulaan Bataar.   Doesn't sound too bad to me.

It has changed so much. When i was there in 1990, there was only one private restaurant in the entire country and that was in a ger.

That's very true. I'm not sure whether it's a good or a bad thing - but I guess it's inevitable. And at least there are a few more alternatives to boiled mutton these days...
