The Ultimate Cold Case

A fascinating story, though possibly not a case that will require Nergui's attention...

Oh, I don't know. I expect that that legend of the thief who killed his family could be of some use, somehow, some way, to Nergui.

Well, I didn't say anything about whether it might require my attention...

ADMINISTRIVIA: having arrived at this your page as a result, top result even, of a Google search, several months later, I now find the link leading to the "Ultimate Cold Case" to be... well quite cold indeed. Of course you're not responsible for that, nor could you suspect/ imagine that the site the story was from is run by some Patented Morons™. I say that with competence because, as can be deduced from the error msg they bother to throw up instead, they have yet to understand what web-publishing is all about, and that the cost-overhead of maintaining persistent html links is NIL.

So, in the future, please remember never to link to items (on nichey sites at least) without some description of their content, because, sadly, the morons running that New Haven Register are not alone. Now, what was that Über-cold case>about?

Well, I take your point. Obviously, it's difficult for me to keep an eye on every link, especially eight months after the event. However, I think maybe you're being a little harsh on the New Haven Register - the story is still on their site, though at a different (archive?) location. I've updated the link accordingly, so thanks for drawing it to my attention. And now I'm intrigued as to the nature of the Google search that brought you here...
